I’m sometimes almost embarrassed by the number of books I’ve had published, but then again why should I be? I always say that, if the first one had sold better, I wouldn’t have needed to write so many more. And some of the titles – especially the plays and the humorous ones – are very slim volumes.
But before I list all my past publications, let’s have look at this year. The end of March 2013 will see the publication of my eighteenth Charles Paris investigation, entitled – appropriately since I haven’t written about him for fifteen years - A DECENT INTERVAL. I had huge pleasure writing the book – good to be back in the old reprobate’s company. Then in the summer the fifth in my newest series, BLOTTO, TWINKS AND THE RIDDLE OF THE SPHINX, will be published, along with the paperback of the previous one, BLOTTO, TWINKS AND THE BOOTLEGGER’S MOLL. My plans for 2013 include writing a new Fethering Mystery and yet another Charles Paris. And I’m glad to say that his earlier adventures - as well as those featuring the widow sleuth Mrs Pargeter - are available in Kindle editions.
Right, so my list of publications... Here goes...(and to get a larger image, just click on the relevant book jacket)

After a long period of 'resting', life is looking up for Charles Paris, who has been cast as the Ghost of Hamlet's Father and First Gravedigger in a new production of Hamlet. But rehearsals are fraught. Ophelia is played by Katrina Selsey, who won the role through a television talent show. Hamlet himself is also played by a reality TV contestant, Jared Root - and the two young stars have rather different views of celebrity and the theatre than the more experienced members of the cast. But when the company reach the first staging post of their tour, the Grand Theatre Marlborough, matters get more serious, with one member of the company seriously injured in what appears to be an accident, and another dead. Once again, Charles Paris is forced to don the mantle of amateur detective to get to the bottom of the mystery.
